2023 Summer Institute Student Experience Wish List

Hello and welcome to coLAB Arts Education!

This year coLAB Arts is committed to providing an arts-based summer program for students in New Brunswick and the surrounding area that is affordable and accessible. To make this experience possible we are working with community partner organization New Brunswick Tomorrow as well as Rutgers Community Health Foundation to underwrite the majority of this summer’s program. However, we need your help to get us the rest of the way!

We are asking individuals who are passionate about the social and emotional health of our area youth to provide a few of the necessary art supplies and materials for this year’s student artwork. We hope you will check out the student experience registry and purchase an art supply, or sponsor an experience with an online donation. Each dollar will be spent directly on students this summer.

Sincerely,

John Keller, Director of Education and Outreach

Purchase An Art Supply

Check out our art supply gift registry. It’s super easy. Just click the button above and you can see all of the items needed. You can purchase directly on that link and the items will be sent to coLAB Arts. Each of these supplies will be used by students to develop their socially engaged arts projects throughout the summer institute. You can purchase just 1, 2 or all of the items in any category:

  • Just $8.99 can purchase a reusable water bottle for a student

  • Just $33.29 pays for sketchbooks for 30 students

  • Just $37.99 pays for our entire class pack of colored pencils

Sponsor a Student breakfast

Make a Donation

Thanks to a generous donor we have all of our lunch expenses covered! However, we will provide fresh fruit, and other nutritious items for students in the morning. We want to provide a sweet treat in the afternoon for desert. This fund will allow our volunteer caterers to buy the necessary food items to make this experience possible. You can give at any level comfortable for you but consider:

  • Just $50 will cover breakfast items for 10 students for a week

  • Just $100 will cover desert for 20 students for the week
