Cruz, a determined Raramuri indigenous man from Mexico, and his family were driven from their land by a drug cartel because they refused to grow opium poppies. They now live in exile and fear for their lives while desperately seeking justice and a safe return to their homeland.
Cruz, un indígena rarámuri y su comunidad fueron despojados de sus tierras por el narcotráfico al rehusarse a cambiar la siembra de maíz por la de amapola. Ahora viven desplazados en la ciudad, amenazados de muerte, buscando desesperadamente la justicia para poder regresar a su lugar de origen.

Teresa Camou Guerrero was born and raised in Mexico. She received a degree in Visual Arts and Social Sciences from Vermont’s Bennington College. She is the producer and director of animated shorts La niña que cuida las chivas and El entierro. She made her feature documentary debut with Sunú (2015), and co-directed Nahui Ollin, Sol en movimiento (2017). She is also a puppeteer who has worked with the Bread and Puppet Theater in Glover, Vermont.
Teresa Camou Guerrero nació y creció en México. Ella recibió una Licenciatura en Artes Visuales y Ciencias Sociales de Bennington College en Vermont. Guerrero es la productora y directora de los cortos en animación, La niña que cuida las chivas y El entierro. Debutó su primer largometraje documental con Sunú (2015), y codirigió con Nahui Ollin, Sol de movimiento (2017). También es una titiritera que ha trabajado con Bread and Puppet Theatre en Glover, Vermont.
