coLAB Arts’ executive director participates in the Cabaret Theatre’s Director’s Scenes Showcase with an adaptation of Austin Pendleton’s Uncle Bob. Uncle Bob lives alone in his small Greenwich Village apartment pondering his existence after his wife leaves him because he has been infected with AIDS. That is, until his nephew, Josh, turns up uninvited. Dangerous, unstable and suicidal, Josh, emotionally tortures his reclusive uncle. Josh soon reveals that he’s run away from home in order to convince Bob to ultimately infect him too, so he can employ the disease as a form of suicide.
