In Arkansas, a young man, wanders into town with bruised and bloodied hands. He comes to a church for food and finds Eli, a second generation pastor, who was educated at Harvard. Eli is immediately intrigued by the boy. Meanwhile, Trevor, the church Financial Advisor, is trying to move First Baptist into the Christian spotlight by joining the Southern Baptist Board of Churches — an organization that can increase church revenue, exposure, and power almost over night. All of this culminates in an old time Southern Baptist Revival — one the small town will never forget.
