Avianna Perez recently graduated from Rutgers University with BA degrees in Dance, Sociology, and Theater.  At Rutgers she has performed in various student works in both dance and theater and wrote original material for the stage.  Avianna has produced and directed four feature-length original dance-theater performances: Sentient (2008), at the George Street Playhouse; subtext (2007) and Consumed (2005), both performed at the Cabaret Theatre; and Ungovernable, on various street corners and unconventional spaces in New Brunswick and New York (Ungovernable and Consumed co-directed with Justin Woo).  In August 2007, she performed a solo text-movement work entitled Puppet at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  She is the artistic director of Insurgo Stage Project.
