coLAB Arts Summer Institute 2018

coLAB Arts has developed an annual summer program that provides artistic training and project development for young people. All coLAB Arts programming uses the arts as a process to respond to complex issues. Students are presented with the tools to become creative change makers in their own communities.

Participants take workshops in movement, voice, performance, design, writing, and production and are encouraged to become generators of their own art.  Additionally, students are provided the opportunity to network with other artists and teens interested in similar work. These programs are built with strong partnerships with other arts and social advocacy organizations. Past program partnerships include Contemporary American Theater Festival, Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership, New Jersey Institute of Social Justice, Rutgers Oral History Archive, Elijah's Promise, New Brunswick Department of Recreation, and many more.

As with all coLAB Arts programming we work with each individual family to insure participation is not limited because of financial need. Please contact us directly to learn more about scholarship opportunities.
