Our Common Thread is an annual performance event presented by coLAB Arts and the First Reformed Church, to support New Brunswick's Interfaith Mens' Rotating Shelter. Proceeds go to support the efforts of the Rotating Shelter's participating houses of worship.

The event features theater, choral performance, and a panel discussion. Participating artists and speakers include:

  • Empathize Me by Audrey Rose - an original one act choreopoem reflecting the playwright's own experiences as a homeless young woman traveling America.
  • Verbatim monologue performances based on interviews with men from the Rotating Shelter
  • Choral performances from the First Reformed Church Choir and the Yue Yue Ensemble
  • Panelists following the performance include religious leadership from participating Rotating Shelter houses of worship: Bob Chant, Doug Shepler, and Chuck Weibel.
