Terms of Use

Collaborative Arts recognizes that your privacy is important. The information below outlines how the information you provide is collected, stored, and used by us or third-party vendors whose services we use.

Data Collection

We do not, and have never, sold or disseminated (except in cases where required to by law by law enforcement agencies) the personal information of our customers to any parties outside of Collaborative Arts. coLAB currently collects personal information through DreamHost, Edgewall, Facebook, Google, MySpace and/or WordPress for the following:

Visiting Colab-Arts.org

Collaborative Arts collects the URL from which you linked into our site, your IP address, and your browser type and version, all of which are collected in an anonymous manner without being linked to any of your personal information. This is done through DreamHost, our hosting provider and FireStats, our web statistics system.

Contributions or Purchases

When you make a contribution or purchase using Google Checkout on colab-arts.org, Google will ask for your personal information in order to provide you with the service. The information required to register for the service includes your name, credit or debit card number, card expiration date, card verification number, address, phone number, and email address. This information allows Google to process payments and protect users from fraud. In some cases, Google may also ask you to send them additional information or to answer additional questions to help verify your information. The information Google collects is stored in association with your Google account.

When you use Google Checkout to conduct a transaction, Google collects information about each transaction, including the transaction amount, a description provided by Collaborative Arts of the goods or services being purchased, the names of the seller and buyer, and the type of payment used.

When you access a Google Checkout webpage, Google sends one or more cookies – a small file containing a string of characters – to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. Google uses cookies to improve the quality of their service by storing user preferences and tracking user trends. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Please note that you will not be able to access Google Checkout if your cookies are disabled.

Google will not sell or rent your personal information to companies or individuals outside of Google. If you are making a purchase through Google Checkout, Google may share portions of your credit card number with Collaborative Arts to identify the transaction.

Email Newsletters

Opting to receive Collaborative Arts’ newsletter requires the collection of your name, address and email address. Collaborative Arts will not share your email address with a third party. After choosing to subscribe, you will receive no more that two emails weekly from Collaborative Arts outlining our upcoming events and promotions.
